To request an official transcript, you can come in person to our office, fax
your request(607-777-6515) or mail the following form to Binghamton University,
P.O. Box 6000, Binghamton, N.Y. 13902-6000. All transcript requests must have
your signature so we do not accept requests via phone or email.
The following are essential:
Most importantly, your signature. We cannot process your transcripts
without a signed request!
Social Security number
Your daytime telephone number (in case we have questions or need clarification).
Addresses to which transcripts should be mailed.
Binghamton University dates of attendance
This request will not be processed if you have delinquent debt to the University.
If in doubt, go to the BUSI Web Center
and click on "View Delinquent Debt"
Official transcripts will
be sent within 7 working days. Please plan accordingly.
There is no charge for official transcripts. However, students may
have a maximum of three sent to themselves ("issued to student") and eight
sent to others at any one time. Typically,
official transcripts will be sent within 7 working days.
$2.00 (in person only) for unofficial transcripts for currently enrolled
students
$15.00 to fax a transcript. Faxed transcripts are unofficial.
This $15.00 fee must be received before a transcript can be faxed. (We are
unable to process credit card payments in this office.)
What else should I know about ordering transcripts?
You may order up to 3 transcripts for yourself, and up to 8 to go elsewhere
each time a request is made. All official transcripts are mailed to the address
you provide on the request and are not available for pick up. During
non-peak times, it takes approximately 5-7 business days for transcripts to
be processed and mailed. During peak times, it takes about 7-10 business days.
Peak times are typically
the beginning and end of semesters - but occur at any time of the year depending
on the volume of requests we are receiving.
