Proof of Enrollment via National Student Clearinghouse
Proof of Enrollment Certificates are available through the National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) online via the BUSI Web Center. Students will need their social security number and their date of birth to access the NSC. Students can request a certificate showing the current term or all terms at Binghamton University. Enrollment information for any given term is available approximately two weeks before the first day of classes.
The online proof of enrollment form is our official enrollment verification.
If students have a specific form that needs to be completed for proof of enrollment, they should attach a copy of the online enrollment verification form as official proof of enrollment. Our service of completing the specific forms and mailing them directly to lenders, insurance companies, etc. was phased out during the Spring 2006 term. Effective Fall 2006, the online enrollment verification form is our only form of official enrollment verification.
In the past, enrollment verifications involved paper forms being sent back and forth between parents, students and the Registrar’s Office. In an effort to improve this process and customer service, the Registrar’s Office contracted with the National Student Clearinghouse to provide Binghamton students with an official online enrollment verification form . The Registrar’s Office has spent about a year transitioning students and parents from paper forms to the online service, as well as following up with insurance companies and other organizations seeking proof of enrollment to insure their acceptance of the official online form available via the BUSI Web Center. During the Spring 2006 semester, the online enrollment verifications became the University’s official proof of enrollment. The Registrar’s Office began directing all requests to the online service. Effective Fall 2006, the online enrollment verification will be the only official university enrollment verification provided. Students should access BUSI and provide their parent's with the online form (which should be attached to the form provided by your insurance company before being mailed).
